The power of Paradox Pokémon appears in the Pokémon Trading Card Game with cards from the future and from the past. These two types of Pokémon play very differently, so adapt your deck to your personal strategy. If you like to face your opponents with a big blow, you'll appreciate the power of Pokémon from the past. These Pokémon have high HP and powerful, costly attacks. On the other hand, Pokémon from the future take advantage of their speed and technique with low attack and retreat costs. There are also past and future Trainer cards that support Pokémon of their respective types, so build your deck accordingly.

TECHNICAL MACHINES EXPAND YOUR COMBAT STRATEGIES

Give your Pokémon more options in battle with the return of Technical Machines to the Pokémon Trading Card Game. These Pokémon Toolkits grant your Pokémon access to a new attack when attached to those Pokémon. The mechanic works similarly to the Scroll cards from the Sword & Shield – Battle Styles expansion, except these new Pokémon Toolkits can be attached to any Pokémon (as opposed to being limited to Single Strike and Rapid Strike Pokémon). Keep in mind, however, that Technical Machines must be discarded after the end of the turn in which you attached them to one of your Pokémon.

TURN THINGS AROUND WITH NEW POKÉMON-E

Pokémon-ex can strengthen your team immensely. Take, for example, Aragonite-ex: its Coin Boost Ability lets you draw one card per turn (two cards if this Pokémon is in your Active Spot), helping you maintain card flow. This Ability combines well with Aragonite-ex's Gold Rush attack, which increases in power with each Basic Energy discarded. Aragonite-ex has the Peerless Blade attack, which becomes more effective the more Prize cards you pick up. If you only have one Prize card left, it does a whopping 350 damage! Mewtwo, traditionally a Psychic-type, appears as an Electric-type Pokémon on this Teracrystal Pokémon-ex with Type Shift. Its attacks speed up Psychic Energy and deal more damage with more Psychic Energy attached.
