The Japanese set Paramount War was released on November 4, 2022 .

The One Piece Card Game returns! Following the success of the early starter decks and the Romance Dawn Booster Pack, fans called on Bandai to continue production of the second booster set. PARAMOUNT WAR is the second chapter of the One Piece TCG and immediately begins the popular Marineford Arc, the culmination of the first half of the One Piece manga. It depicts the dramatic conflict between the Whitebeard Pirates and the Marines over the rescue of Ace. The question remains: Does this expansion live up to the high expectations?

The Whitebeard Pirates are a highlight of the second One Piece booster set. Led by Edward Newgate, they are assigned to the red faction. Newgate acts as both a leader and a playable character, as his storyline is central. As leader, he adds a card from his health area to his hand at the end of each turn. Despite his six life points, players must strategize to prevent him from defeating himself before he reaches his full potential. The crew assists with effects that trigger when Whitebeard's health is low or deflect damage he deals.

The One Piece card game borrowed some elements from Bandai's earlier Dragon Ball Super game, which is why fans eventually anticipated the introduction of the color black. First appearing in the second starter decks, black is now also available in booster packs with PARAMOUNT WAR. Similar to other games, black aims to control the field by eliminating opposing characters. Smoker brings an interesting twist here. The Navy type's main strategy is to lower the opposing character's cost, which serves as a threshold for other abilities and disrupts the opponent.

OP02: Paramount War is the second set of the One Piece Card Game. It is based on the iconic Marineford Arc and brings the intensity and drama of this epic battle to life.
