Great news! The long-awaited Pokémon Temporal Forces has finally arrived. But while we wait for that moment, we can also look forward to the upcoming Pokémon Twilight Masquerade set.
It will be available starting May 24th and combines cards from the Japanese expansions Pokémon Crimson Haze and Pokémon Mask of Change. This means we won't have to wait as long as we did between the releases of Paradox Rift and Temporal Forces, which is certainly good news. Here on our blog, we'll keep you updated on everything you need to know about Pokémon Twilight Masquerade. So, be sure to check back often!
The star of the set: Ogerpon
The main focus of Pokémon Twilight Masquerade is on the Pokémon introduced with the first DLC for the current Pokémon video games. Names like Ogrepon, Bloodmoon Ursaluna, and Sinistercha (German: Fatalitcha) should be familiar. These Pokémon also each adorn their own Pokémon Twilight Masquerade booster artwork. Special attention is given to Ogrepon , the set's "mascot," appearing on products such as the Elite Trainer Box, the front of the display, and Build & Battle Boxes.
Early gaming experience: Prerelease tournaments
The Build & Battle Prerelease tournaments will take place from May 11 to 19 —an ideal opportunity for players and collectors to experience the new set in advance. If you don't know where such tournaments are taking place near you, you should consult the official event finder.
A variety of new cards
Pokémon Twilight Masquerade includes a total of 167 cards , plus an unknown number of Secret Rares. At least six of these are Ogrepon cards, including four Teracrystal Pokémon-EX cards, one regular Pokémon card, and one Item card. In addition to the cards already mentioned, Pokémon Twilight Masquerade features six new Ace Spec cards , seven Pokémon-ex, seven Teracrystal Pokémon-ex, as well as 21 Illustration Rare cards, eleven Special Illustration Rare cards, and six Gold Rare or Hyper Rare cards.
