Tyler, the Great Warrior: A unique Yu-Gi-Oh card with a special story
Tyler, the Great Warrior may not be the most expensive Yu-Gi-Oh! card in the world, but it is undoubtedly a unique and valuable collectible card with a heartwarming story.
Creation of the map:
The card was created in 2003 as part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Tyler Gressle, a 13-year-old boy suffering from liver cancer, was a passionate Yu-Gi-Oh! player. His greatest wish was to design his own Yu-Gi-Oh! card.
Thanks to the help of Konami , the maker of the Yu-Gi-Oh! game, Tyler's dream became a reality. Tyler designed the card himself, and Konami printed it in a limited edition. Tyler received the only copy of the card and was overjoyed.
Card value:
Although the card's monetary value is relatively low compared to other rare Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, its true value lies in its unique story and its significance to Tyler and his family.
In 2013, the card was auctioned for $10,000. The proceeds were donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help other sick children fulfill their wishes.

10th place: Morphing Jar TP2-001 YuGiOh Tournament Pack: 2nd Season
Tenth place in our top 10: The most expensive Yu-Gi-Oh cards goes to: Morphing Jar. This monster card was released in 2002 as a promotional card for the World Tournaments during the second season of some tournaments. Due to its age of over 20 years, it is considered extremely rare. Previous sales were around 10,000 euros . The last known sale took place on March 26, 2024, and amounted to just under 4,700 euros.
9th place: Doomcaliber Knight Shonen Jump Championship (2008)
There are only 68 copies worldwide of the 2008 Doomcaliber Knight card. At one Yu-Gi-Oh! event, the Shonen Jump Championship 2008 , the winners received a Doomcaliber Knight as part of their tournament rewards. Since only 68 copies exist, there are even fewer at a top grade. None have yet sold at PSA 10. However, we were able to find one auction where the card sold for approximately $15,000 at PSA 7. The PSA 10 price, when available, is double to triple that in our experience. We may see more sales in other grades of this card in the future.
8th place: Amatsu-Okami of the Divine Peaks
In our top 10 , Amatsu-Okami of the Divine Peaks is probably one of the least known Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. This obscurity is also reflected in the price of this card. It is unclear how many copies were awarded to winners in 2018. Likewise, very few copies were offered for sale. When one of these copies was sold, the price was between €15,000 and €20,000 . We may receive more information about this special card in the near future.
7th place: 2002 Dark Duel Stories Blue-Eyes White Dragon PSA 10
One of the most iconic cards in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! universe is undoubtedly the Blue-Eyes White Dragon . Kaiba's card is therefore one of the most popular cards and cannot be left out of our top 10 most valuable Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. This card was distributed in 2002 as a promo for the Game Boy Color game "Yu-Gi-Oh!: Dark Duel Stories" and is extremely rare. Only 131 copies are available with a PSA grade of 10, which largely determines its price. The current value of this card is estimated at around €30,000 . It was last sold for $25,000 in February 2021.
6th place: 1999 Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth No Red DDS Promo PSA 10
The Yu-Gi-Oh card Ultimate Great Moth No Red DDS ranked sixth in our top 10. In 2002, they were extremely rare, and it was especially unusual to find one with a certified PSA quality certificate. The auctioned copy achieved the highest standard grade. The card's price is estimated at between €25,000 and €30,000.
5th place: Cyber-Stone Ultra Rare Soles Jump
Unlike the many common versions of this card, inspired by the monster in Frankenstein, the most valuable version belongs to a separate edition as a tournament prize. This was awarded at the Shonen Jump Championship and several subsequent events, resulting in just over 100 of these cards in existence. Among the collectibles, only 21 have a PSA 10 rating, which is why they are rarely offered for sale!

4th place: Crush Card Virus Shonen Jump Championship (2007) SJCS-EN004 (Ultra Rare)
Yes, a Trap Card is indeed one of the most expensive Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in the world. The Crush Card Virus card is a unique example. It is unplayable and even banned. Yet only 40 of them exist in the world. This card was first released at the 2007 Shonen Jump tournament. Its current price is approximately €55,000. In June 2020, such a card sold for $49,999 with a PSA rating of 10.
3rd place: Japanese Lottery Edition Dark Magician Girl
The bronze medal goes to the Dark Magician Girl from the Japanese Lottery. While this card is printed very frequently these days, the Japanese Lottery version is extremely rare . Only a very few copies exist, and accordingly, only a few are available in the highest possible grade. This card is considered one of the most beautiful in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! universe and sells for around €50,000 .
