"Stormfront" is an expansion to the Pokémon Trading Card Game series, released in English on November 5, 2008 , and in German on February 11, 2009. As part of this expansion, collectors are rewarded with a variety of cards, including legendary Pokémon, rare shiny cards, and much more.

Stormfront brought several innovations to the trading card game. The return of the so-called Shiny Pokémon (called "Shiny Pokémon" in the trading card game) was one of them. These Pokémon, formerly known as Star and Shining Pokémon , do not hold a special place in the game, however, as the only difference from their normal forms is that they always appear as reverse holo . Three Shiny Pokémon appear in Stormfront: Drifloon , Duskblade , and Voltorb , with the collector numbers SH1, SH2, and SH3, respectively.
