As 2023 draws to a close, the Pokemon Company has announced a special year-end surprise: A new high-class set is about to be released! A new round of shiny Pokémon will be ushered in with the promising name "Pokemon Shiny Treasure."
As usual, we'll provide you with regular updates in this post, including information, images of leaked cards, and related products. Since news often arrives in small chunks and is rarely bundled, multiple updates may follow. The closer we get to the official release date of Pokémon Shiny Treasure in Japan on December 1, 2023, the more new cards you'll find here!
At the end of every year, we can expect a high-class set like "Pokemon Shiny Treasure," which offers a retrospective look at the past year. This means we can look forward to a large set with over 190 cards, including some cards from previous sets of the year. But don't worry, high-class sets often bring new things with them. Two years ago, "Vmax Climax" surprised us with the popular CHR cards, which first appeared in the "Sun & Moon" era, and introduced the CSR rarity. Even more impressive were the beautiful Art Rares (AR) and the rare Special Art Rares (SAR) cards from "VSTAR Universe."
Pokemon Shiny Treasure brings us the coveted “Shiny Rares” as new rarities, in two variants: the Baby Shinies, where the artwork only takes up part of the card, and the Fullart Shinies, where the artwork covers the entire card.
The Shiny Treasure Ex Boxes are something special
The coveted boxes will also be available in the CrispyCards Shop in due course. However, little information about their contents is currently available. Typically, the slimmer but taller boxes contain only 10 boosters instead of 30. However, each pack contains 10 Pokémon cards and one Energy card, including some holo cards and at least one "ex" card per booster. There will also be a reverse holo card, presumably with a new pattern. In older high-class sets before Pokemon Shiny Treasure, every box was always guaranteed to contain at least one SR or one card of the new rarity.

Aside from the new cards, we also have something else to look forward to: Godpacks! Although they aren't confirmed yet, they should be making a comeback soon. A Godpack contains only high-value cards and could include cards of the new rarities, as was the case in previous sets.
For anyone curious about the differences in the Pokémon TCG in Japan, we've already written an interesting article about it!
Information on the international version of Pokemon Shiny Treasure is still pending. It's believed to be part of the previously unknown Scarlet & Violet 4.5 set. Updates will be provided here continuously. This set promises to be something special!
